What should I start with? Well, let's face the positives. It will surely impress you friends with the nice design of the machine. Moreover, the quality of the out shell is also quite good, it sort of feels almost like a premium product.But...Let's face the negatives, which are the most important when reviewing a espresso machine. Firstly the spout of the portafilter is made out of plastic which ruins the premium feels of the machine. Having a plastic spout makes it difficult to tamper the coffee, because if you press to hard the plastic spout will fall which can become frustrating especially when paying around 500 euros for an espresso machine. Secondly the tamper is made out of cheap plastic which makes it almost impossible to press the coffee evenly and efficiently. Therefore you would have to pay something like 30 euros to get a decent one to use with the machine.Thirdly, the top of the machine does not heat up sufficiently to warm cups, unless you wait for a few hours and still not get them warm enough.Lastly, the coffee extraction is weird. I have experience with other espresso machines, professional ones, and when the coffee machine was ready all that I had to do is press the button and get good coffee. Well this was not the case here. I did try several times, with the coffee provided inside the package Illy, but did not get any chance of good espresso shot.I would say that it is almost impossible to make a real espresso shot with this machine. You can definitely make espresso shots, but for the ones that don't mind so much about the quality of the espresso shot, but for myself, I do mind.Before buying, it would be good to consider also other options and analyse which one fits better your needs.Thank you Amazon!
